Lab 8 Focus

Image
Lab 8 This picture shows a variety of flowers, that are similar in colour and size. It was chosen as the subjects in the photo were similar to each other, either in colour or size.  This photo was taken to show a background object appearing larger than the subject. The photo exaggerates the actual size of the subject in frame as well as the background object.  This photo shows an object appearing in focus while another object in the foreground appears out of focus.  The subject is able to dominate the photo as its of a geometric pattern ie the row of windows of a skyscraper.

Most of the sports shown were one's which I had never heard of such as dog surfing. This seemed like a very interesting photo essay to work on. The colours present were vibrant and added to the atmosphere.

Although I found this pencil case lying on the table, it wasn't my first attempt to take a shallow DOF photo. I continued to have problems with taking the photos, whether it was that I couldn't change the focus of the object having either everything being blurred or nothing. Also all of my previous photos didn't include people in the background which you can see further allows the shallow differential focus to focus on the pencil case and ignore the people. I could of taken mo...
